Which Class will Work for You?

Basics:       Best for beginners, but also recommended for experienced practitioners who want to refine their alignment, or are recovering from injury or illness.

Gentle:       A great way to start learning yoga, or to keep up a practice while recovering from injury or illness.  Includes at least a half hour of Restoratives (see below).

Level 1,2:  Best for people who have studied for at least six months and are willing to try more challenging poses.

Mixed:       Many levels in one room.  Poses are staged for experience levels present.  Beginners can learn a lot from seeing how experienced students perform more challenging poses, while working safely towards advancing their own practice.

Restorative:   A sumptuous practice that mostly takes place on the floor using props such as bolsters, blankets, blocks and straps to support the poses for as long as ten minutes.  A terrific addition to a vigorous ongoing practice, and yummy for all – including people with chronic health issues, pregnant or post-natal women.

Baby & Me:       Parents do some gentle yoga, interspersed with guiding their babies (newborn to toddler) into developmentally appropriate poses designed to benefit their child’s sleep, digestion and mood.

Meditation/Pranayama:       Meditation can transform your life by teaching you to focus on one-thing-at-a-time in a relaxed way.  Pranayama extends the body’s vital energy by working with the breath as a creative partner.  This supportive group practice will expose you to a range of techniques.

Community:       Studios provide these less expensive classes (sometimes shorter in duration) so that people of all economic means can afford to practice yoga.
